Roasted Acorn Squash

Written By: Chris - Oct• 23•12

Acorn Squash is known for its compact size, (usually about the size of a softball) provides one squash provides one generous or two portions.  It is usually dark green, but can be one of three colors: green, gold and white.  It has ridges around its surface and the outside skin is quite hard and inedible.  It is the orange meat inside that is delectable,  naturally sweet and slightly fibrous, but delicious!  Lucky for me I have friends who have gifted them to me recently and they are also really inexpensive at the grocery store.  We’ve been eating a lot of them lately.  Try them and see how simple they are to prepare and are so delicious and healthy too office 365 testversion herunterladen!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees download wscad.

Halve each squash, then scrape out the seeds and stringy membranes fortnite s9. Place the halves, flesh side up, in a baking sheet or pan.  Drizzle with Olive Oil and sprinkle each half with salt & pepper.   Cover with aluminum foil.   Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until squash is soft prime music songs.

I serve them directly as is on the plate, sometimes adding a little butter for richness.  Sometimes a dash of brown sugar and cinnamon, they are super tasty!  You can scoop it out and place in a dish if you prefer.  We enjoyed this as a side dish along some nice Kielbasa, some flavorful Spanakopita and a tasty beet & feta salad along with a beautiful Beringer Red eingebettetes pdf herunterladen!
